Rhino piss bath and so many lies

After a busy day of postal line-standing and soccer game-missing this weekend, I went to a friend's to hang out.  It was a lovely, crazy, kid-filled day.

When I returned home, I need a break.

The kids were in bed, I decided to take some "me" time.

The considerable amount of exercise this week has taken a told on my gymnastically abused joints, and an increased work load in my job has taken its mental toll.

I drew a hot bath - and poured in copious amounts of Calgon.  Our well is drilled into sandstone laced with iron.  Whenever more than an inch of our tap water is accumulated (in tubs, toilets, drinking glasses) it looks like rhino urine.  The bubbles or scented water dye are necessary for me to forget our lack of water softener.

I am currently reading (among 10 other books) Chelsea Handler's "Are you there vodka, it's me Chelsea" in which the star of Chelsea Lately admits repeatedly that she is a sociopath and compulsive liar.  While the book is entertaining - written in her dry, cuts-like-a-knife voice - I struggle with believing the stories she tells, being that she is a compulsive liar and all.

Anyway, I sat in my purple, bubbly (totally not piss) bath and read Chelsea to unwind for an entire hour!  I rarely take time like that.

It was nice - even if I knew I was being lied to...

Perhaps the more vodka she drinks, it feels like the truth :)
